ABOUT THE ROLE

The Hire Controller role is part of a wider Distribution Centre Team. The role will work closely with the wider business development team to grow the specialist business, support growth in the other specialist businesses and wider general hire, and offering total solutions to our customers. The role brings a customer centric focus to specialist product by providing a customized solution to meet the customer expectation of our equipment
expertise. The Hire Controller will report to the Specialist Manager.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES YOU TO;

  • Assist customers over the phone using the reservation prompt script at the front desk. Create, update and finalise hire schedules
  • Co-ordinating customer hire contracts and branch administration
  • Read and filter specialist business emails and pass on to the relevant team member, including emails fromother branches/specialist branches, or the customer support centre
  • Complete other paperwork and administration as required, such as “On Hire” equipment file and banking.
  • Manage customer overdues to follow up on late returns
  • Liaise closely with the Transport Manager to develop daily driver schedule to optimise Service Person/Driver efficiencies and meet customer requirements, and have awareness of driver movements throughout the day to adapt to changing branch needs
  • Clean and maintain the branch showroom, yard and storage spaces
  • Follow the directions of the Specialist Manager/Assistant Specialist Manager, and complete all other tasks as requested by management
