HIRE DESK CONTROLLER

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Hire Desk Controller ideally from a background within the construction, utilities, civil engineering, or plant hire sector.
Our busy Hire Desk is responsible for the accurate daily planning of our operators and wagons throughout the UK requiring a motivated self-starter, used to working within a fast-paced environment, utilizing their excellent administration, organization and listening skills.

Responsibilities

· Daily planning and allocating of vacuum hires, operators and wagons in liaison with Sales Team.
· Check location, availability, job duration and travel times are considered
· Ensure planning tracker and Drive App are continuously updated and accurate
· Escalate potential issues immediately to the Operations Manager and Supervisor in line with company processes
· Monitor and respond to emails, telephone calls in a timely and appropriate manner
· Book hotel accommodation for operatives considering work movements, location, driving hours etc
· Update Operatives via driver app / text with accommodation information
· Proactively liaise with operators, HSE Coordinator, Operations Manager, Hire Desk Supervisor as necessary
· Calculate and submit weekly working hours, OT, allowances etc for payroll purposes
· Dealing with customer’s enquiries over the telephone and by email.
· General office duties, document preparation and data entry.
· Out of hours on call rotated between Hiredesk staff.
