Wellspring Community is hiring multiple Part-Time Floating Program Assistants (Direct Support Provider) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in our structured day program. The schedule for this position is 28 hours per week, 4 days per week. This is a hands-on, flexible role for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and meaningful work. The Floating Program Assistant steps into both teacher and support roles as needed to ensure participants experience a safe, engaging, and consistent day. If you have experience in direct care, behavioral support, special education, or human services, or are looking to grow in that field. We provide strong team support and paid training. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Provide direct support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting and personal care Administer medications (QMAP certification required; we cover certification costs if needed) Step into classrooms to implement lesson plans when substituting for a teacher Complete daily documentation and program notes Support positive behavior strategies and ensure participant safety Assist with classroom setup, transitions, and cleanup Transport participants to community outings (including driving 15-passenger vehicles) Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and leadership This is an active role requiring flexibility, reliability, and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or Special Education preferred but not required. Minimum one year experience working with adults with IDD in an educational, recreational, or support capacity preferred. Ability to quickly adapt to different roles and responsibilities within the program. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Valid Colorado Driver’s license and clean motor vehicle report and possess the willingness and skills necessary to drive 15 passenger vehicles to transport participants to various outings and activities. Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to multi-task, problem-solve effectively and manage the demands of a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Current First Aid/CPR certification to ensure health and safety of clients. Must be able to pass a drug and medical test. Qualified Medication Administration Personnel through CDPHE required, if not currently QMAP certified, we will pay for the costs of obtaining certification.
