Description

HIRING – TRADE WAITERS – NEPTUNE’S GROTTO

Full-Time | Sydney CBD | From $65,000 + Tips – $75,000 + Tips
(This role includes Waiter, Restaurant Supervisor, Bar Supervisor, and Sommelier level candidates)
Neptune’s Grotto, a restaurant by chefs Dan Pepperell and Mikey Clift, and sommelier Andy Tyson, is located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD and is seeking experienced Trade Waiters to join the front-of-house team.
Opened in late 2024, Neptune’s is inspired by the trattorias of Rome and the regional classics of Florence — a tribute to tradition with bold reinterpretation. The venue has quickly become a dining destination, named Timeout’s Restaurant of the Year and awarded 16/20 (Two Chef’s Hats) in the Good Food Guide.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a comparable FOH role
  • Strong knowledge of food and beverage, including wine or cocktail service
  • Experience with a la carte dining preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and as part of a close-knit team
  • Professional presentation, with a warm and proactive attitude
  • Familiarity with POS systems and FOH protocols
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences

You’ll be joining a committed and passionate team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver exceptional food and beverage service in a premium, high-volume setting
  • Manage your section with confidence and attention to detail
  • Guide guests through menu and wine list offerings
