JOB SUMMARY
As a Histology Technician for our team located in Laval, you will mainly be responsible to prepare tissues for microscopic analysis. Your success will ensure the smooth running of our research, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.
In this role, primary responsibilities include:
- Perform histology activities such as: trimming, decalcification, processing, embedding, cutting, scanning, and staining
- Prepare necessary material requested by procedures
- Operate necessary laboratory equipment
- Prepare chemical reagents
- Prepare shipment and packing of specimens
KEY ELEMENTS
We are looking for the following minimum qualifications for this role:
- Collegial Diploma in Science, Biotechnology, or any other related field
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to details
- Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.)
- Understanding of written English is mandatory. Bilingualism French and English is preferable.
Responsibilities:
ROLE SPECIFIC INFORMATION:
- Location: Laval / Free parking / Near the subway Montmorency
- Salary: Starting at $20/hrs
- Annual bonus based on performance plan
- Flexible schedule, depending on the needs you must be available to work during days, evening, weekends, and holidays. Regular working hours are 8 am to 6:15 pm, but may be subject to change depending on current studies
- Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week
