THE OPPORTUNITY:

Veritas are looking for a bright and enthusiastic History Graduate to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Barnet as a Teaching Assistant. You’ll work closely with students aged 11-16, supporting them in History lessons and across the curriculum. This is a fantastic first step for graduates who are serious about progressing into teacher training or are considering working within education.
This role will give you experience supporting students throughout History classrooms, as well as supporting students with SEND

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE WILL INVOLVE:

  • Assisting teachers in delivering engaging History lessons
  • Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups with classwork, homework, and revision
  • Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Offering targeted support to students who may need extra help grasping key scientific concepts
  • Contributing to wider school life, including extracurricular activities and enrichment
