Job Title: Histotechnologist

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday | 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Duration: 13-week contract

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Histotechnologist to join our Pathology Laboratory team on a night shift contract. This role is crucial in specimen processing, tissue preparation, and slide staining, ensuring accurate diagnostics for patient care.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Pathology Laboratory setting
• ASCP (HT/HLT) certification
• Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program or an Associate’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences

• Receive surgical specimens and properly accession them into Cerner EMR
• Collect and organize tissue blocks from PA staff
• Perform tissue processing, embedding, cutting, and staining of slides
• Ensure high-quality sample preparation for Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC)
• Maintain compliance with laboratory protocols and regulatory standards
