For this position, we are looking for an Application Support Engineer who can assist one of our clients - a leading investment bank. Responsibilities: Be responsible for the trading applications of Equities & Derivatives Trading (Stocks, ETF, Warrants, Options & Futures) on various APAC markets in Windows/Linux platform Required to support traders, troubleshoot and diagnose functional and technical issues in the production environment Management and tracking of daily production problems and user request; ensure effective and timely resolution and communication to the client; report bugs back to local / overseas development teams. Be responsible for handling business-driven or exchange-driven projects Conduct system Quality Assurance testing, perform deployment or upgrade of mission critical trading applications and systems. Ensure adequate performance and operation of the systems - monitor the performance ⁄ operation, diagnose and address any problems. Follow ITIL Application Support methodology to carry out incident escalation and system change management procedures. Provide system and process documentation Morning / Lunch shift duty, weekend and holiday work are required. Enhance the automation and resilience of production systems to improve operational efficiency and uptime Competencies Required: Technical: Good technical / scripting knowledge on Linux/Unix environment Proficiency with Python/shell Proficiency with network protocols like TCP, UDP, FIX Proficiency in Excel/VBA (huge plus) Functional/Other skills: Good business knowledge on cash and derivatives products and market rules Experience with system monitoring Takes initiative and is results driven Strong decision making and analytical skills Ability to innovate Strong team player Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Fluent in English Qualifications and Experience University qualification with IT Major Minimum of 1-2 years experience in trading support Other Value-added Competencies Batch scheduling system Knowledge on Fixed income product Regular team buildings 18 leave days / Year Health Insurance Annual bonus Working hours (shifts): 7am - 4.30 pm / 8am to 5.30pm / 9am to 6.30pm E-learning and certifications paths
