PERSON SPECIFICATION

Responsibilities

Working as a Recruitment and Vetting Administrator your role will include:

  • Liaising with departmental management across HMP Millsike on their recruitment needs, assisting on drafting job descriptions and person specifications, adverts, liaising with external agencies as required and leading on the administration of applicants and their applications
  • Working closely with the Mitie Resourcing team to publish job adverts for vacancies on the Mitie website and other applicable platforms where vacancy requisitions have been authorised
  • Organising the scheduling of assessment centres and interviews for prospective applicants
  • Supporting recruiting managers at Assessment Centres, coordinate resources, booking venues
  • Coordinating Right to Work checks
  • Acting as a Vetting Contact Point to ensure that all candidates achieve the required level of HMPPS security clearance
  • Managing the onboarding process to ensure that offers and contracts of employment are issued within a timely manner
  • Maintaining a resource “library” of interview questions, job descriptions and person specifications to support recruitment managers and any external agencies if utilised
  • Working closely with the onsite training team to ensure that candidates are allocated to correct Induction and Initial Training Courses
  • Working closely with the People Business Partner to track attrition levels to ensure that the Workforce Planning Committee can plan recruitment and training needs
  • Managing recruitment and vetting processes in line with GDPR requirements and ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times.
