• Weekday shifts typically start at 9:30 AM and end at 6:00 PM (times are approximate, and may need to start early and/or stay late)
• Saturday shifts typically start at 9:30 AM and end at 4:00 PM (times are approximate, and may need to start early and/or stay late)

ROLE:

We’re looking for a hockey specialist or 2 to join our team, with the possibility of a full time position for a candidate with the right experience and qualifications. If you’re energetic, friendly, hard-working, have good communication skills and have a real passion for hockey, we want you on our team. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to learn a variety of skills in sales and technical work in the hockey and figure skating retail industry.

DUTIES:

• Skate sharpening and maintaining skate sharpening equipment
• Operating cash register
• Receiving, pricing and stocking new inventory
• Basic skate repairs, riveting and skate blade mounting
• Maintaining cleanliness of sales floor
• Skate fitting and customization of both hockey and figure skates
• Assist customers with proper fitting of equipment and sticks
• Able to use basic tools to properly fit and assemble helmets and facial protection
• Ability to learn and understand figure skate blade mounting process
• Answering customer queries via telephone and e-mail
• Scheduling of appointments
• General organization and optimization of displays and sales floor area
• Proficient in MS Office an asset
