Description Position Summary Merritt Precision LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hole Cut Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for hole cutting, trimming, and grinding composite parts to specification while supporting overall production efficiency. The technician will oversee the small parts console process and provide cross-functional support to the PI/Mold Detail team based on production demands. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Essential Functions Perform hole cutting, trimming, and grinding of parts in accordance with work instructions and quality standards. Operate hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and effectively. Manage the small parts console process, ensuring parts are completed accurately and on schedule. Inspect finished parts and identify defects or inconsistencies. Maintain production pace to meet departmental goals. Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S or facility standards. Communicate production issues, material needs, and quality concerns to leadership promptly. Collaborate with team members to support workflow and operational efficiency. Additional Duties Provide support to the PI/Mold Detail department when primary tasks are complete or production needs shift. Participate in cross-training to enhance operational flexibility. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Prior manufacturing, fabrication, or composite experience is helpful but not required. Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and quality. Demonstrated reliability and strong work ethic. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent bending, lifting, and handling of materials up to 50 pounds, with assistance when appropriate. Manual dexterity sufficient to operate tools and equipment. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, dust, odors, and varying temperatures. Work Environment This position operates in a production setting where the use of safety equipment is required. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and industrial equipment is expected.
