We are currently seeking an experienced Holistic Nutritionist to join our growing multidisciplinary care team at our Yorkville clinic. This is an in‑clinic role, 2–3 days per week, working closely with a visionary team—including direct collaboration with Dr. Tim Cook, Vivagen’s Founder and Medical Director. Dr. Cook is an award‑winning Internal Medicine Specialist and pioneer in longevity and integrative health, known for tackling complex medical cases and advancing health optimization across Canada. This is not the typical nutritionist role built around generic meal plans or surface-level dietary advice. At Vivagen, nutrition is a clinical pillar—deeply integrated with personalized genomics and diagnostics, chronic illness treatment, and longevity medicine. You will work with patients who are seeking a higher level of care, often with complex health histories, and who are motivated to make meaningful, lasting change. About the Role As a Nutritionist at Vivagen Life Sciences, you will deliver high-quality, client-centered consultations within a setting that blends specialized care for complex chronic illness with advanced longevity and preventive health strategies. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop personalized nutrition protocols, and collaborate closely with our medical team to support patients through transformative health journeys. Key Responsibilities Clinical Assessment & Personalized Nutrition Planning • Conduct in-depth nutrition assessments incorporating medical history, chronic conditions, medications, and advanced lab results including nutrigenomics. • Develop individualized nutrition and supplement protocols aligned with physician treatment plans and longevity goals. • Identify dietary contributors to chronic symptoms, inflammation, metabolic dysfunction, and GI issues. • Create phased nutrition plans (stabilization → therapeutic → maintenance) tailored to each patient’s needs. Interdisciplinary Collaboration • Participate in case reviews with physicians, NPs, and integrative practitioners. • Translate complex clinical findings into actionable nutrition, natural health product and lifestyle strategies. • Provide input on diagnostic needs (e.g., micronutrient testing, GI mapping, food sensitivity panels). • Integrate nutrition with longevity-focused therapies such as hormone optimization, peptide therapy, mitochondrial support, detoxification, and metabolic programs. Patient Education & Behaviour Change Support • Deliver high-touch coaching to help patients adopt sustainable nutrition habits. • Educate patients on anti-inflammatory eating, blood sugar stabilization, gut-healing protocols, and longevity-focused dietary patterns. • Provide practical tools such as meal templates, shopping guides, and habit tracking systems. • Support patients using motivational interviewing and behaviour-change frameworks. Monitoring, Tracking & Adjustments • Track patient progress using biomarkers, symptom changes, body composition, and lifestyle metrics. • Adjust nutrition plans based on clinical outcomes and patient feedback. • Document all care in our EMR systems with clarity and clinical precision. Specialized Support for Chronic Illness & Longevity • Support patients with chrinic fatigue, Post-Covi, Post-Lyme and other infection associated chronic illnesses, metabolic disorders, autoimmune conditions, GI dysfunction, cardiovascular risk, and chronic inflammation. • Implement targeted protocols for gut restoration, metabolic optimization, and biological age reduction. • Guide patients through nutrient timing, protein optimization, mitochondrial nutrition, and circadian-aligned eating. Program Development & Clinic Integration • Contribute to the design of nutrition components within Vivagen programs (e.g., metabolic reset, detox, longevity pathways). • Create educational materials, workshops, and group sessions. • Support the development of SOPs and clinic workflows related to nutrition. Supplementation Guidance (Within Scope) • Recommend evidence-based supplements aligned with clinical protocols. • Educate patients on proper use, timing, and interactions. • Coordinate with medical staff regarding supplement–medication considerations. Patient Experience & Relationship Building • Provide compassionate, non-judgmental support for patients with complex health histories. • Maintain high-touch communication to reinforce accountability and progress. • Help cultivate a clinic culture of empowerment, clarity, and long-term transformation. Professional Development & Research Integration • Stay current with emerging research in longevity science, nutritional biochemistry, and functional medicine. • Bring new insights to the clinical team to refine protocols and improve patient outcomes. Qualifications • Degree or certification in Nutrition, Dietetics, Holistic Nutrition, or a related field. • Experience in functional medicine, integrative health, or chronic illness care is strongly preferred. • Knowledge and practical experience with nutrigenomics would be an asset. • Strong understanding of nutritional biochemistry, metabolic health, and gut-immune interactions. • Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach. • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary clinical team. • Comfort working with patients who have complex medical histories and high expectations for care.
