We have an exceptional and unique opportunity for a Holographic & Diffractive Imaging Technologist to become part of this journey and join our growing Imaging & Research team.
In this specialist technical role, you will be responsible for the creation, development and optimisation of advanced and world class holographic and diffractive security devices that are highly resistant to counterfeiting or illicit reproduction.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Sciences, Material Science or related engineering degree
  • Alternatively, proven industrial experience in digital process control, lithogtraphy or digital image processing
  • Ability to write simple VB scripts and macros for use in vector drawing packages such as CoreIDraw.
  • Experience in using at least one 3D rendering software such as Blender, IRay or Arnold.
  • Strong interest in creating holographic and diffractive security images and products within a multi-disciplinary environment

Responsibilities
  • Generate high security diffractive imagery on master recording plates through the usage and operation of a high resolution direct write exposure system.
  • Preparation of the associated graphical data files to be uploaded into the direct write lithography systems application software for conversion to holographic exposure files. This graphical preparation will typically be completed using standard vector drawing packages such as CoreIDraw or a raster graphics (pixel-based image) editor such as Photoshop or Photo-Paint.
  • With training, usage of proprietary grating lithography methods and procedures to generate high security holographic imagery on master recording plates
  • Generation of master production plates within standard process times
  • Convert and process design artwork film into formats suitable for interferometric methods of recording holographic master plates
  • Support and assist senior team members as required
  • Calibrate and maintain key measurement equipment in accordance with ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
