This is the perfect role to suit someone looking for a rewarding career working in the community supporting aged care and disability care clients.   You will work independently assisting our clients out in the community in their own homes ensuring the safety and general maintenance of their home and gardening is all up to date. You will work with supportive management who are dedicated to your development and success and who are passionate about our clients having the ability to live as independently as they possibly can be.   Take your next step with HenderCare.  About the Role As a Home and Garden Maintenance Worker at HenderCare, you will be a valuable support system for our aged care clients and people with disabilities. You'll take on home and garden maintenance responsibilities that may have become challenging for them while also offering a much-needed sense of community and companionship.   This role operates Monday-Friday, with no weekend work required, ensuring the perfect work-life balance. Gutter and window cleaning (internal and external). High cleaning and dusting of elevated or hard-to-reach areas such as skylights, cupboard tops or ceiling fans. Lawn mowing, hedge/high tree trimming, leaf blowing, sweeping, pruning and general gardening maintenance. General home maintenance (e.g fixing cupboard/door hingers, door handles, installation of lock boxes). Installation of battery-operated smoke detectors. Replacements of shower head, tap washer, and light bulbs.   About You We are seeking someone with a caring nature and essential qualities such as encouragement, attentiveness, adaptability, excellent communication. Approaching people with empathy, you will be someone who is understanding and patient towards the needs of others, and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.  You will require: Full Australian driver's licence Previous home and garden maintenance experience is essential (professional or personal experience)   Only applicants with the right to work in Australia will be considered.
