POSITION SUMMARY

The Home and Garden Merchandiser is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing the visual merchandising strategy for the Giftware department. This includes creating eye-catching product displays, ensuring the department’s layout is conducive to an optimal shopping experience, and maintaining the overall aesthetic and brand image. The role requires a creative mindset and attention to detail. The ideal candidate for this posisiton will have experience with giftware and florals as well as a demonstrated passion for interior design!

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

  • High School Diploma
  • A degree in visual merchandising or interior design would be considered an asset

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.
  • Demonstrated time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • High flexibility with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to merchandise retail sales floor with cohesive, aesthetically pleasing displays.
  • Ability to anticipate product sell through and order merchandise accordingly.
  • Understanding of flower and plant care and gift basket creation.
  • Passion for interior design.
    Job Types: Permanent, Part-time
    Pay: From $19.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
