The primary purpose of the Audio-Visual Technician role is to be a part of our customer facing installation and support group. Planning, scheduling, and executing new installations. Maintaining and supporting deployed systems. This role supports our ongoing client retention efforts by making sure our clients are well looked after.

CORE SKILLS

  • Must be able to manage time and work under tight timelines.
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems and signal flow for audio, video, and control
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate with other employees
  • Troubleshooting, quality checks, servicing abilities, problem solving abilities
  • Highly motivated and able to follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • Basic Networking experience, knowledge of routing and subnets, configuring routers and switches.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of audiovisual integration, or I.T. experienceControl4
  • Installation/Programming or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must have a valid driver’s licence and a clean driver’s abstract
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive, onsite audio-visual installation including low voltage wiring, rack setup, projector and screen installations, speakers, and control systems programming.
  • Perform cable pulls, solder, crimp and terminate audio, video, and network cables
  • Proactive maintenance and updates on all Control, Audio, Security, and IP Network Systems.
  • Effectively troubleshoot and solve complex AV and Control system issues.
  • Performs Quarterly quality control check of all Control4 systems, and Networks
  • Perform low voltage wiring for both residential and commercial projects.
  • Keep up to date on all required education and safety training.
  • In-house Testing and research of all new products.
