JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and safety. This position is ideal for individuals who have a passion for helping others and possess the necessary skills to provide high-quality care.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in caregiving, home health, or long-term care settings is preferred.
  • Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or Alzheimer’s care is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges.
  • Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment is beneficial.
  • A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to improve the lives of those you care for.

Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide patient observation and monitoring to ensure the well-being of clients.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans.
  • Prepare meals and assist with meal planning and cooking according to dietary needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
  • Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
  • Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance their quality of life.
  • Document vital signs and report any changes in health status to nursing staff or supervisors.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality at all times.
