REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in care work is preferred but not essential (full training provided)
  • A caring and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic understanding of health and safety, including infection control
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
  • Must have a valid driving license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Enhanced DBS check (company can arrange if necessary)
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract
    Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 1 – 37.5 per week

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, person-centred care to clients in their own homes
  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
  • Support with mobility, transfers, and positioning using appropriate equipment when necessary
  • Prepare and assist with meals, including feeding where required
  • Administer medications in line with individual care plans and company policies (training provided)
  • Offer companionship, emotional support, and engagement with clients’ daily routines
  • Assist with housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and grocery shopping
  • Follow care plans and ensure accurate record-keeping of care provided
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
  • Respond to any changes in clients’ health or wellbeing and report to the Care Coordinator
  • Uphold confidentiality, dignity, and respect for clients at all times
