JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and safety, and promoting their independence. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanour.

SKILLS

• Experience in home care or similar roles is preferred.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written, to ensure clear communication with clients and families.
• Valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients as required.
• Familiarity with developing and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
• Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Understanding of care home environments is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Assist clients with personal care tasks including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support clients with mobility and transfers as needed.
• Prepare meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
• Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Accompany clients to appointments or social activities, providing transportation when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client’s condition to the appropriate personnel.
• Follow individual care plans while adapting to the evolving needs of clients.
• Foster a positive relationship with clients through effective communication and engagement.
