CLINIC DESCRIPTION

NeuroChangers Etobicoke offers a very high level intensive treatment program for clients needing to break-through difficult boundaries and plateaus in recovery. Our physiotherapists utilize skillful hands-on facilitation and state of the art technology in experienced ways to create customized therapy programs aimed at rehabilitating specific injuries and limitations.
Specializations include: Spinal Cord Injury, Traumatic Brain Injury, Concussion, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke & Parkinsons, sports and work-related injuries.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will be compassionate, highly motivated, passionate and be able to work successfully as part of an interdisciplinary team as well as individually.
The position will initially be part-time with the option to expand to full-time as you grow within the clinic. Specific hours will be discussed.

Requirements:
- Registration and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Neurological experience is an assist but not required
- Preference will be given to those with additional Bobath/NDT training
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Have access to a personal vehicle and a valid drivers license
- Applicant must be willing to do home care and community work (specific geographical areas within in the GTA be discussed)
- Preference for applicants comfortable treating both MSK and neuro populations
-Opportunities to work in the clinic as well as in the community can be discussed

Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients’ physical conditions to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Provide hands-on therapy and rehabilitation exercises to improve mobility and strength and physical function
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment options and recovery processes.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with college standards.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals apart of the treatment team
