Responsibilities:

  • Provide routine individualized care to the elderly, convalescents, or persons with disabilities
  • Monitor and report changes in patient health status
  • Provide personal care, such as bathing and dressing patients
  • Light meal prepping and homemaking skills
  • Must have drivers license/car to assist in local grocery shopping/errand needs
  • Teach family members ways to care for patient
  • Understand that our Veterans need stability and that if you commit to them, that you are required to show up for them.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in hospice, home health, or other related fields
  • Positive and patient demeanor
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Ability to handle physical workload-Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English and communicate effectively
  • State of NH Background check/BEAS check
  • Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray. Company paid off site testing available.
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing and vehicle insurance are required
  • Obtain Alzheimer/Dementia training (Company Paid) within 60 days
  • High school diploma or GED

The VA has New Hampshire, VT, MA, and Maine Veterans who need immediate care. We work with you so that you are able to make a schedule that works for both you and the Veteran.
Due to new Veterans on our census, we are looking for an Aide to care for multiple Veterans in the Berwick/Rochester area. This position will be 35 hours/week.
The position is Mon-Friday, day time hours. No nights. Flexible start time.
