We are seeking an experienced Personal Care Worker with strong Night Duty experience to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents during overnight shifts.


What you will do:


The Personal Care Worker is responsible for ensuring:

  • Personal care is provided in accordance with each resident’s needs and preferences such as personal hygiene, continence care, mobility, eating & drinking etc.
  • Clinical Care such as medication support, basic dressings, and wound care, measuring vital signs etc
  • Social and recreational support such as assisting residents' family and visitors, and assisting residents attending activities.
  • Domestic services such as cleaning and serving meals,
  • Assessment and care planning such as completing care documentation, including progress notes and daily charts

Who are you and what will you bring?

  • Minimum Cert III in Aged Care or equivalent
  • Medication Competency or willing to obtain (desirable)
  • Experience in providing daily care and activities to clients
  • Currently hold and maintain an NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain) 
  • Be passionate about delivering a person-centered approach to care
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills

 About the role

This role involves supporting a quadriplegic client in their home. Morning shifts involve 2 staff assisting together for approximately 3 hours per shift.

Key responsibilities

  • Hoisting/transfers using a sling lifter
  • Personal care and hygiene assistance
  • Complex bowel care
  • Catheter care
  • Manual handling
  • Assisting with morning routine and getting ready for the day
  • Supporting client dignity, comfort, and independence

About you

  • Studying nursing or currently working as an AIN/support worker
  • Compassionate, professional, and dependable
  • Comfortable with personal care tasks
  • Experience with manual handling and hoisting preferred (training can be discussed)
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a small team
