Lifest HealthCare is seeking an experienced, reliable and confident Disability Home Care Support Worker to join our team in Ipswich.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong professional relationships, thrives in a consistent support environment and is confident assisting participants with a range of physical, behavioural and psychosocial support needs.

About the Opportunity

• Location: Yamanto & Leichhardt (Ipswich)
• Hours: Approximately 60+ Hours per fortnight
• Days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday
• Shifts: Day shifts (0700 – 1500) and sleepover shifts (1500-0700)
• Commencement: November 2026

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing individualised, person-centred disability support.
• Assisting with personal care, daily routines and medication administration.
• Supporting participants with mental health and psychosocial needs.
• Implementing positive behaviour support strategies and responding appropriately to behaviours of concern.
• Providing dementia-informed care and promoting independence.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and communicating effectively with the wider support team.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who brings more than just experience. The right person will be dependable, approachable, patient and confident in their ability to provide safe, high-quality support.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in disability support or a similar care environment.
• Experience supporting complex behaviours, mental health or psychosocial disabilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to remain calm, professional and adaptable in challenging situations.
• A genuine commitment to participant choice, dignity and independence.
• Availability to work a consistent roster, including sleepovers.
