JOB OVERVIEW

We are urgently seeking compassionate and reliable Domiciliary Care Assistants to provide care and support to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have a background or experience working with adults, providing care to individuals in their own homes or similar environments, and possess a genuine desire to enhance the quality of life for seniors and those in need of assistance. This role involves working closely with clients to ensure their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence.
Due to specific client needs, we have a preference for staff with a Pilipino or Korean background to support clients with cultural and language specific care preferences.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in home care, senior care, hospice care, or similar fields is preferred.
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures is beneficial.
  • Ability to manage medication administration effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and compassion.
  • Experience with Alzheimer’s care or dementia care is an advantage.
  • Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for transportation purposes.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for client support.
  • A caring attitude towards individuals requiring assistance in their daily lives.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
  • Administer medications as prescribed and monitor client health.
  • Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities.
  • Support clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Assist with behaviour management for clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
