About your opportunity
The Rural Service Group, Home Care team have a Permanent Part Time opportunity available.
The principal location of this role is with Home Care. At times the demand for both Home Care and Operational Services varies and staff may be redeployed to Operational Services on the Charters Towers Health Service campus.
The Purpose of this position is to a) provide basic domestic cleaning and support services to the frail aged of the community and their carers and / or b) undertake operational support in laundry, catering, cleaning and porterage at the Charters Towers Health Service

Generous pro rata remuneration package (based on full-time equivalent value) up to $73,986 p.a. comprising:

  • Salary range of $30.33 to $32.70 p.h. (OO2)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a motor vehicle requiring possession of a ‘C’ class driver’s licence. Proof of possession of a current licence must be provided before commencement of duty
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
