JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for patient assistance.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation duties.
  • Understanding of Alzheimer’s care and dementia care principles is beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist with medication administration as per care plans and medical guidelines.
  • Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry.
  • Engage clients in social activities and companionship to promote mental well-being.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies for clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in health status to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including driving clients to appointments or social outings.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and follow individualised care plans.
  • Provide hospice care when necessary, ensuring comfort during end-of-life stages.
  • Perform heavy lifting when required for client transfers or mobility support.
