JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as nursing home or hospice care is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and experience with case management is advantageous.
  • Certification in First Aid is preferred; additional training in senior care practices is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • A valid driving licence is required for transportation duties.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with physical tasks safely.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Support clients with Alzheimer’s and dementia care by employing behaviour management techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care, including observations and changes in health status.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
