KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support children with an EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plan), working alongside the SEN team
  • Lead both 1:1 and small group sessions, inside and outside the classroom, to boost students’ academic progress
  • Plan and resource engaging intervention sessions to meet the needs of individual students
  • Work closely with other professionals to assess and support students’ development
  • Offer essential pastoral support, ensuring students feel safe, secure, and valued at school
  • Helping to close the gap between home and school for students
  • Being that support for students who struggle to come to school, and support their attendance
  • Build strong, positive relationships with families to improve engagement and educational outcomes
  • Liaise with teaching staff to align home/community learning plans with the school curriculum
  • Support transitions back into full-time education where applicable
