ROLE:
The primary role of this position is to provide members with services, products, and business practices so that we unlock and cultivate our members’ financial future. To achieve this mission, this position must deliver high-quality service to both internal and external members. This position is the primary loan originator for Texas Home Equity loans, HELOCS, and Home improvement loans on occasion, lot loans, for the credit union. In addition, responsible for taking loan applications, obtaining supporting documentation required for the loan request, locking the rate, and submitting the loan to processing. Ensure the loan is structured in accordance with the members request while at the same time ensuring the loan complies with credit union and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
N 20% Conducts the loan interview, reviews income, employment history, residency history as well as, collateral requirements for the loan request. They will also review credit reports, credit scores and other supporting information and documentation to ensure the member and the collateral meet the minimum requirements for origination.
N 20% Identifies consumer loan cross sell opportunities based on applicant criteria including debt ratios, minimum credit score requirements, comparable credit history and processes accordingly.
N 20% Manages high call volume, walk-in’s, and relatively large pipelines. These loans are designed to require attention to detail, accuracy, good communication with the member and the processing team are essential.
N 15% Works in Encompass software to input and track Home Equity loans.
N 15% Required to meet initial contact requirements on all referrals and maintain consistent follow up on all loan applications and referrals.
N 10% Complies with regulatory requirements to ensure application documents completed accurately and are provided to the applicant/members within the required timeframes.
N 5% Partners with Business Development and Consumer Lenders to solicit new Home Equity loan business.
N 5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.
