Description Full Time History Martin County Hospital District (MCHD) was organized in 1967 and has boundaries coterminous with Martin County, Texas. It is located in the heart of West Texas. Opened in 1949, the hospital was originally located near downtown Stanton. This facility served the community well for many years but was replaced with a state of the art 18 bed facility in 2012. The new facility is located on I20 and has been designated as a Critical Access Hospital Summary of Responsibilities The Administrator of Home Health Agency is responsible for the organization, direction, coordination, quality and general supervision of the Agency's ongoing functions. The Administrator of the Home Health Agency is (a.) a licensed physician or (b) is a registered nurse or (c.) has training and experience in health service administration and at least one year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health programs. The administrator can/or act as the Director of Nursing/Supervisory Nurse and will report to the Martin County Hospital District Chief Nursing Officer. Requirements Education Be a licensed physician or registered nurse or hold and undergraduate degree in experience in health service administration, with at least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in home health care or related health care program. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated an ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel. Knowledge of corporate business management. License/Certificates Must have a license to practice medicine for Physicians, or a Registered Nurse license to practice nursing by the Texas Board of Nursing or licensure from a state within the Nursing Compact. Must complete the required 8-hour course for Administrator training, including the first 5 modules on the https://apps.hhs.texas.gov/providers/hcssa/cbt. Current BLS certification required upon hire. Experience One (1) year experience as a Licensed Physician or a Professional Registered Nurse in a Home Health Setting with supervisory experience.
