Job Details Job Location: West St. Paul , MN 55104 Position Type: Part Time Salary Range: $19.09 - $21.50 Hourly Job Shift: Evening Episcopal Homes of Minnesota has proudly served seniors for 130 years in St. Paul’s Midway neighborhood. Our vibrant campus offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Home Care services. Residents enjoy access to amenities including a fitness center, pool, pub, theater, and gourmet dining. We are currently hiring a Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our Nursing team and provide compassionate, high-quality personal care and delegated nursing services to support residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. Wage: $19.09-$21.50/ hr. Schedule: Part-Time Evenings (0.6 FTE, 45 hrs. a pay period) What You’ll Do Assist residents with personal care: dressing, grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, and applying lotions Provide toileting assistance and incontinence care Support ambulation, transfers, and repositioning using assistive devices and safe body mechanics Offer assistance with hearing aids, glasses, and sensory devices Provide medication reminders, assistance, or administration as delegated by an RN Assist with blood glucose monitoring and insulin injections (delegated by RN) Prepare meals per dietary plans and provide feeding support when needed Record and report vital signs and resident concerns promptly Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities Use dementia care techniques including validation and redirection Assist with treatments as delegated by RNs or licensed therapists Maintain household cleanliness: dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and laundry Ensure proper organization and stocking of medical and household supplies What We’re Looking For At least 18 years old Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Commitment to working every other weekend and scheduled holidays Preferred: CNA, HHA, or PCA certification in Minnesota Preferred: Experience working with older adults in hospital, nursing home, or home care settings Preferred: Prior medication administration experience "At Episcopal Homes of Minnesota, we value a diverse, inclusive workforce and we provide equal employment opportunity for all applicants and employees. Qualifications Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand basic English. Commitment to working every other weekend and scheduled holidays (Full-Time/Part-Time/Casual positions). Preferred Qualifications: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification with the State of Minnesota. Experience working with older adults in a hospital, nursing home, or home care setting. Previous medication administration experience. Physical Requirements: Physical Demands Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs., occasionally up to 100 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, reaching overhead. Ability to assist residents with transfers and mobility support. Must have adequate vision and hearing to perform job functions. Work Environment Assisted living and memory care community with resident interaction. Exposure to infection control protocols and safety procedures. Requires flexibility with work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
The Home Health Aide will assist residents with personal care tasks, provide medication reminders, and engage residents in meaningful activities. They will also maintain household cleanliness and support residents with mobility and transfers.
