Assists the patient with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding and dressing..
Assists the client with exercises, ambulation, and transfer activities. This includes knowledge in use of assistive devices such as canes, walkers, crutches, and lifts.
Independently assists the patient with meal preparation/cooking and/or feeding.
Must have working knowledge of special diets, diet restrictions, and techniques to maintain sanitary kitchen conditions to prevent food-borne illnesses.
Assists the patient with medication prompts to remind the patient to self-administer his/her medications.
Identifies changes in patient condition that require notification to the patient’s registered case manager.
Takes vital signs to include temperature, pulse, heart rate, respiratory rate.
