MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
· Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.
· Proof of Insurance: Proof of insurance coverage with a minimum of $1,000,000 is required for use of a personal vehicle while performing job duties.
· Clear Driver’s Abstract: A clear and up-to-date driver’s abstract may be required.
· First Aid/CPR-C Certification: Current First Aid and CPR-C certification is mandatory.
· Health Care Aide Certification: Must hold a Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide Certificate and be registered with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.

· Direct Care: Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living to promote the well-being and independence of clients.
· Health Monitoring: Monitor client health conditions (e.g., blood pressure, mobility, general health) and report any significant changes to supervisors or healthcare providers.
· Follow Care Plans: Follow individualized care plans provided by the LPN or supervisor, ensuring that all tasks and services are delivered as outlined.
· Reporting: Report any changes in the client’s condition or care needs to the LPN, Owner/Director, or other designated supervisors.
· Companionship: Offer emotional support, engage in meaningful conversations, and foster companionship to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
· Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, the LPN, other healthcare professionals, and family members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of daily tasks, client progress, and health status for each client.
· Promote Safety: Ensure that the client’s home environment is safe, and assist with fall prevention and emergency preparedness.
· Respect Client Preferences: Work with clients to understand and respect their individual preferences for care, routines, and daily activities.
