Job Description: All About Home Care is looking for a reliable and professional Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who is skilled in providing therapy in patients’ homes. We pride ourselves on hiring professionals who understand the unique dynamics of Home Health care. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program Current Texas state license as a COTA Two years of experience in Home Health preferred Spanish-speaking preferred Responsibilities: Adhere to established agency policies and procedures Provide physician-prescribed occupational therapy services under a plan of care established by an Occupational Therapist (OT) Help patients improve or maintain their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) Support patients in regaining independence and achieving their highest functional potential Carry out skilled therapy procedures as ordered by the physician and directed by the OT Collaborate with the OT and other healthcare personnel in patient care planning Report changes in patient condition and progress to the supervising OT Educate patients and family members/caregivers on home programs and ADL strategies Participate in mandatory in-service and performance improvement activities as assigned Attend patient care conferences as scheduled Document timely and accurate visit notes, progress updates, and care plan revisions as per agency requirements
Responsibilities
The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will provide physician-prescribed occupational therapy services under an Occupational Therapist's plan of care, focusing on helping patients improve or maintain their ability to perform activities of daily living and regain independence. Responsibilities also include collaborating with the OT, educating patients and families, and maintaining accurate documentation of visits and progress.
