JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise in physiotherapy and patient management will contribute significantly to the rehabilitation process, helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
  • Experience in various settings such as acute care, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, and home health is preferred.
  • Ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Previous experience with discharge planning is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Administer therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy and other modalities to enhance recovery.
  • Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
  • Educate patients and their families on care plans, exercises, and home health strategies to promote recovery.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, including discharge planning for inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and the latest physiotherapy practices.
