OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a compassionate, self-motivated Female Private Caregiver to support a male client in his & his wife’s home. This position is ideal for individuals who are patient, engaging, and experienced in providing care to seniors with dementia. Nursing students (Year 3 or higher) with hands-on experience are welcome to apply.
In this role, you will assist the client with daily living activities, provide companionship, and help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, proactive, a self starter and skilled at encouraging meaningful engagement with clients experiencing memory loss.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Female caregiver with experience in dementia care
  • Nursing student (Year 3+) or experienced private caregiver
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Compassionate, respectful, and professional demeanor
  • Respect for the family and their privacy in the house

SKILLS

  • Experience in dementia care is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in patient care within nursing homes or assisted living environments.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
  • Knowledge of caregiving best practices, including meal preparation and personal hygiene assistance.
  • Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others are essential traits for success in this role.
