Often a home is all someone needs, but when our customers need more, we offer a range of services, including care, money advice and coaching to support them.
We also provide care and support to some of the most vulnerable people in society. This includes support for people who are homeless, experiencing domestic violence or are part of the criminal justice system.

We are looking for a casual Home Helper to join our Help at Home community service that works across the borough of Walsall, and surrounding areas. Having a Bank contract is a great way to supplement your income. Working on a casual contract means you will work when required by the service and you will also be able to request hours around your own schedule.
GreenSquareAccord`s Health and independence service - aims to improve the quality of life of older and vulnerable people. We offer a range of services that help older adults live independent and fulfilled lives. Help at Home service that provides practical help around the home such as shopping, cleaning and ironing alongside social interaction and companionship for service users.

As a Home Helper working within the Help at Home team you will travel across the borough to customer`s homes delivering a variety of support, to include:

• Cleaning duties, shopping and escorting clients to doctor and hospital appointments
• Providing a period of short respite for people caring for loved ones with dementia
• Providing a degree of social interaction with the client and actively promoting other Health and Independence services that may be of benefit
• Ensuring daily worksheet records are completed in an accurate and timely manner
• Reporting any concerns about client well-being to the scheme coordinator

You will get to know the people you care for, learning about their interests, their family etc. so we want someone who is able to listen, care and interact meaningfully to those who want to share.
