Home Manager | Elderly Care | ‘Good’ CQC Rating
Location: Essex
Salary: £55,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

S.N.G Healthcare is working with a well-established care home providing specialist residential and dementia care. The home has a strong foundation but needs a hands-on, decisive Home Manager to lead the team, stabilise operations, and ensure compliance excellence.

As the Home Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and a positive team culture.

• Leadership & Team Development – Lead by example, motivate staff and build a strong, stable team
• CQC Compliance & Governance – Ensure regulatory requirements are met and work towards improving or maintaining a ‘Good’ or higher CQC rating
• Resident-Centred Care – Oversee personalised care plans and create a nurturing environment for residents
• Operational & Financial Management – Drive efficiency, manage budgets, and ensure smooth daily operations
• Crisis & Change Management – Tackle staffing challenges, boost team morale, and introduce long-term improvements
• Stakeholder Engagement – Build strong relationships with residents’ families, local authorities, and external partners

To be considered for this position, all applicants must have the following skills and qualifications:

• Registered Home Manager with experience in residential or dementia care
• Proven track record of achieving and maintaining a ‘Good’ or higher CQC rating
• NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards it)
• Strong leadership and team-building skills – the ability to stabilise and improve staff retention
• Excellent knowledge of CQC regulations, compliance, and safeguarding
