Are you an active, reliable, and enthusiastic male support worker looking for a rewarding part-time role? We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to support a young male service user with a vibrant personality and a passion for all things outdoors and on wheels!
Job Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a meaningful, long-term working relationship with a young man who thrives on activity and enjoys getting out and about in the community. Your role will involve supporting him during structured daytime hours across three days a week, engaging in fun and fulfilling activities, while ensuring his safety, comfort, and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centred support in line with the service user’s interests and needs
  • Engage in a variety of activities including kayaking, cycling (at Rother Valley), visiting the seaside, and trips to the Arcade Warehouse
  • Take regular outings to explore his interests in bikes, motorbikes, tractors, trucks, farming, and racing
  • Support him with meals, ensuring quiet dining environments (his favourites include KFC, Subway, and an Indian restaurant in Scunthorpe Market)
  • Ensure safe and respectful personal care, including the ability to administer Buccal Midazolam if required (training will be provided)
  • Maintain open communication with his family and team to ensure consistent support

The Ideal Candidate Will Be:

  • Male (due to personal care preferences and requirements)
  • A driver with access to a reliable vehicle with business use - Essential
  • Active and confident supporting outdoor physical activities
  • Calm, patient, and able to support someone who dislikes crowds and busy settings
  • Responsible and reliable, with a willingness to undergo Buccal administration training
  • Respectful of the service user’s routines, preferences, and dislikes (including avoiding bowling, swimming, pubs, and busy dining environments)
