Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is dedicated to providing Canadians with the highest level of care across a wide range of home-based and community-setting services. As a leader in the home- and community care industry, CTG is pioneering a one-of-a-kind paid healthcare education program.
We are excited to be relaunching our very own Home Support Worker program for the 4th year in a row. This program is a great entry point into the healthcare field, offering paid virtual classroom training, hands-on experience, and potential employment opportunities upon completion.
Location: This position is based in Timiskaming, ON and will include travel within the area.
What is this program all about?

You will:

  • Learn the value and impact of home care in the community
  • Support individuals with daily routines like bathing, dressing, eating, and personal hygiene and peri-care.
  • Receive training in household management, and safe mobility practices
  • Build confidence in basic health assessments and reporting
  • Become a trusted member of a multi-disciplinary care team
