Overview Establish and maintain ongoing relationship with case managers and other referral sources. Gather all information needed for verifying coverage, making a business decision about accepting the referral and scheduling the potential client for an assessment visit during the initial call. Recognize both expressed and implied customer needs and recommend the solution that will most effectively meet the consumer's desired outcome. Be familiar with the status of agency contracts and have a working knowledge of how to quickly access contract terms. Develop and maintain current information about services that can be provided in the marketplace and the availability of additional community resources that can be utilized to create complete customer service solutions. Share accountability for achieving desired financial targets (profitability) by negotiating desirable rates that are within pro-approved pricing ranges and converting inquiries into referrals. Make the internal transfer of demographic and clinical information obtained during intake transparent to the customer.
