Location: South Lanarkshire
Salary: £12.60 per hour with additional increase at weekends.
Job Type: Full-time / Part-time positions available, does include Sleepovers and Waken nights initially
Hours: 20,30,38.5 hours per week

As a Support Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to individuals who need assistance due to disability, illness, mental health issues, or age. Your role is to promote independence, improve quality of life, and ensure the dignity and safety of the individuals in your care.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you a compassionate, patient, and reliable individual who wants to make a real difference in someone’s life? We are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Support Workers to join our friendly team at Invercare.
As a Support Worker, you’ll provide person-centred care and support to individuals with but not limited to learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and Forensic requirements , empowering them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. We require you to be able to contribute and follow detailed support plans to support the individual’s outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working in a person-centred way
  • Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, cooking, socialising, and household tasks
  • Supporting individuals in accessing the community, appointments, and recreational activities
  • Promoting independence and encouraging personal development
  • Keeping accurate records and completing reports as required
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and other professionals

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide Personal Care: Assist with daily activities such as washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, where required.
  • Promote Independence: Encourage and support service users to make choices and live as independently as possible.
  • Support Daily Living: Help with meal preparation, cleaning, shopping, and managing medication.
  • Emotional Support: Offer companionship, build trust, and provide reassurance and encouragement.
  • Monitoring and Reporting: Observe and record changes in physical or emotional health, and report concerns to senior staff.
  • Community Involvement: Assist individuals in accessing the community, attending appointments, or participating in social activities.
  • Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of service users, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support provided and outcomes achieved.
