Main duties:

  • To provide a high standard Occupational, Physiotherapy and Nursing to the service, performing advanced assessments of patients including those with highly complex presentations, and from this formulating a diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • To operate as an advanced practitioner being first contact for urgent requests to help both prevent hospital admission and facilitate early discharge.
  • To utilise advanced skills in community assessment and management of the acutely sick patient.
  • To provide leadership for support staff and junior staff through supervision, training and appraisal.
  • To participate in the planning and development of occupational services within the designated team.
  • Model and deliver excellent evidence based clinical care, working as an autonomous Practitioner
