Training or experience in homemaking and concerns of senior citizens and one year of experience with the elderly. Prefer training in vocational or business education while in high school. Must provide good references from previous employment. Must be medically cleared of communicable disease.  Must be able to pass drug test and criminal background check.       DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  1. Performs housework such as cleaning main living areas by dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trashcans, laundry, sanitizing DME, etc.  2. Assists with personal hygiene to steady client in and out of tub/shower or to set up bath, hygiene items, or clothing. 3. Purchases groceries and puts them away. 4. Prepares and serves meals, not to include menu planning for special diets. 5. Monitors and reports participants functional status to the PACE Interdisciplinary Team (IDT). 6. Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters pertaining to recipient and program operations. 7. Report health or safety concerns such as communicable disease or infestations.  
Responsibilities
Homemakers perform housework, assist clients with personal hygiene, and prepare meals. They also monitor clients' functional status and report any health or safety concerns.
