· Demonstrated breadth of knowledge to effectively teach evidence-informed homeopathy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
· Earned doctorate (e.g., N.D) from a regionally accredited institution.
· Must hold, or be able to obtain, a license to practice in the state of Arizona.
· Must have completed a first-year residency program that has been accredited or has been granted accreditation status by the Council for Naturopathic Medical Education or its equivalent.
· Experience using electronic health records.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Homeopathy Fellowship provides post-graduate specialty training in the field of homeopathy.
The Homeopathy Fellow serves as a didactic instructor, clinical physician, and research assistant teaching Homeopathic Medicine to naturopathic medical students. The Homeopathy Fellow will be an active member of the Sonoran University community, the broader communities we serve, and the profession; to promote Sonoran University’s mission, vision, and core values.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES FACULTY MEMBER
· Maintain a positive work environment by conducting oneself and communicating in a manner that is conducive to promoting an atmosphere of cooperation with students, patients, peers, faculty and administration.
· Comply with all policies and procedures of Sonoran University of Health Sciences and the Sonoran University Medical Center (SUMC).
· Promote Sonoran University’s vision, mission, and core values internally and to external constituencies.
· Align department efforts and goals within the Division of Therapeutics.
· Didactic responsibilities
· Teach assigned courses in accordance with current syllabi and outcomes.
· Utilize the university portal (MySonoran) and learning management system (Canvas) to the benefit of student learning.
· Continuously improve teaching based on assessment results and implementation of best practices in teaching and learning.
· Perform regular evaluations of student knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
· Remain current in the discipline and update course content to reflect advances in the discipline.
· Work as part of an academic team and committee environment in a courteous and professional manner.
· Clinical responsibilities
· Adhere to clinical policies, procedures and expectations.
· Teach assigned clinical rotations in accordance with current syllabi and outcomes.
· Maintain current CPR certification, and any other training deemed necessary.
· Know and follow all OSHA guidelines for infection control and safety in the workplace consistently and be currently certified in OSHA standards.
· Maintain current HIPAA training and confidentiality of patient records and information at all times.
· Provide direct patient care on student and/or private rotations each quarter at SUMC.
· Refer patients appropriately to other healthcare professionals as necessary, always protecting the best interests of the patient.
· Research
· Actively participate in homeopathic research projects and scholarly endeavors.
· Other duties as assigned.
