It offers a range of services including home buyer education, financial education classes, and matched savings programs, as well as counseling for foreclosure prevention and reverse mortgages. The program aims to strengthen household finances and provide the skills and knowledge necessary to obtain, sustain, and protect one's financial stability and/or home. Overview of Key Duties and Responsibilities: Are you passionate about making a real difference in people's lives? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated HomeSource Bilingual Housing Counselor! Your mission will be to empower individuals in our community to achieve financial stability and homeownership. By providing personalized one-on-one counseling, you will equip clients with vital skills in savings, budgeting, and credit management. This role also requires handling and processing essential documentation and paperwork for clients, necessitating strong administrative skills and meticulous attention to detail. Additionally, you will periodically conduct finance-related workshops for clients and community members, inspiring and educating them throughout the year. Requirements Required: Bilingual in Spanish/English, advanced oral and written ability, required Associate’s degree required o Or in lieu of education, 3 years of relatable work experience required Experience with Internet applications, Microsoft Office applications required Proven advanced experience in data entry with a consistent record of accurate compliance required Ability to travel throughout Central Oregon using personal vehicle required Ability to lift up to 40 pounds required Ability to required to travel throughout Central Oregon in personal vehicle Required prior to date of hire and thought employment Satisfactory criminal background check Satisfactory results from a SAM.gov check Valid driver’s license Proof of current auto insurance Reliable transportation After a 6-month probationary period, limited hybrid work may be available contingent on successfully passing training, program need, and performance quality. For remote work, the following additional requirements apply throughout employment: A confidential and professional workspace Reliable, private & secure internet access Auditory and visual privacy in the home-based workspace Dedicated & secure space to utilize and store agency provided equipment Preferred: Two years’ experience working in Human Services or Customer Relations preferred Two years’ experience working in personal finances, banking, accounting, insurance, housing industry or related field preferred Previous experience in coaching, counseling or adult education preferred
