Job Description: Softscape Sales Manager (Horticulture Expert)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Softscape Sales Manager with a deep understanding of horticulture to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a true horticulture expert with a proven track record of successfully marketing and selling softscape products within the UAE market. This role is crucial for driving our growth by expanding our client base and building strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the landscaping, construction, and property development sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sales and Business Development:
* Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets for softscape products.
* Identify and target new business opportunities, including landscape architects, contractors, developers, government entities, and private clients.
* Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new product opportunities.
* Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation and initial contact to proposal submission, negotiation, and closing.
* Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
* Horticultural Expertise:
* Provide expert advice and technical support to clients on plant selection, soil requirements, climate suitability, and maintenance.
* Possess in-depth knowledge of a wide range of plants, trees, shrubs, and groundcovers suitable for the UAE’s climate and environment.
* Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in horticulture and landscape design.
* Collaborate with the operations and nursery teams to ensure product quality and availability.
* Client Relationship Management:
* Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
* Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, feedback, and support.
* Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the company and its products.
* Reporting and Analysis:
* Maintain accurate sales records and customer information in a CRM system.
* Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for management.
* Monitor and analyze sales metrics to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Botany, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
* Minimum of [e.g., 5-7] years of proven experience in sales, with a focus on softscape products or related horticultural materials.
* In-depth knowledge of the UAE’s climate, soil conditions, and native/adapted plant species.
* Strong network and existing relationships with key players in the UAE’s landscaping and construction industry is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Results-oriented with a strong business acumen and a proactive attitude.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Valid UAE driving license is a must.
* Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
