Admission nurses are responsible for orienting new patients to the hospice program, assisting the patient and caregiver with all the legal paperwork, and completing a thorough nursing assessment. The candidate is required to work 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week (Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday 11AM-9:30PM) Qualifications The candidate must be willing to travel throughout the Bay Area. This position involves regular driving over long distances, so comfort with travel is essential Minimum 1 year of hospice experience, SNF, or hospital experience Ability to establish both hospice eligibility and diagnosis when patient is appropriate Willingness to travel to meet our patients where they live (private homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, etc.) Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance Registered Nursing Licensure in the state of California
