Salus Hospice is urgently seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice Admissions RN to join our dedicated team serving the Orange County region. This position will cover the following areas: All of Orange County with the ability to cover South Bay, LA as needed This is a WEEKENDS ONLY Position: Scheduled Saturday and Sundays 10 AM -8:30 PM Hospice Admissions RN Responsibilities: * Participation in the information gathering, analysis, education and form completion aspects of the admissions process * Evaluate patients for hospice appropriateness, e.g. medical records review as requested. * Obtain agreement for admission of referred patients and families who meet admission criteria. * Build effective referral source relationships to support the high quality and responsiveness expectations associated with Salus Hospice * Maintain clinical and professional competence. * Utilize interpersonal skills to help appropriately educate and address any questions the patient and/or patient’s family has concerning hospice care. Hospice Admissions RN Qualifications: * Registered Nurse with valid CA state license * Minimum one year of hospice or home health experience * Strong background in medical/surgical, ICU/CCU, or ER is helpful * Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation and willingness to drive to patient’s place of residence * Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for hospice * Understanding of hospice philosophy and needs of the terminally ill * Self-directed with ability to work with little supervision * Current Physical and TB test results Hospice Admissions RN Benefits: * Medical/Dental/Vision - FULL TIME * Mileage Reimbursement * 401 K * 40 hours of Sick Leave per year * Vacation Time - FULL TIME * Holiday Pay - FULL TIME * Discounted Gym Membership * Verizon Wireless Discount * Corporate Discounts on Entertainment and Dining, etc $50.00-$60.00 Please apply today!
