Description Our chaplains provide spiritual counseling to patients and families dealing with a terminal illness. Chaplains assess for spiritual concerns and provide emotional and spiritual support, life review and connection with the patient/family’s own religious and spiritual practices. You will collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and follow an ongoing individualized plan of care for the patient and family. The bereavement coordinator role is responsible for providing support to those in need after the death of a loved one. This includes one-on-one support through visits or phone calls, sending written resources and materials and providing support in group settings if needed. Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology preferred One or more units of Clinical Pastoral Education preferred Comfort in an interfaith setting Excellent communication skills Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team Ability to network with community clergy and congregations of different faith Nebraska Drivers License with ability to travel between patient home settings An automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order Hospice experience preferred Willingness to provide on-call care
